Villages in Laos
I went on a biking trip through the villages in Laos this week. The scenery and the people were amazing. Many people live in small local villages without electricity and in small huts. I stayed with one family in their one room house. There were eight of us that slept in one room. They took 'showers' in the nearby river where they also washed their clothes. It was amazing to see this simple lifestyle up close. We made friends with many local children and tried their food. They caught and killed a duck for dinner, ate everything including the blood and made vegetables over a fire. Many woman work by hand making tapestry on a loom. It takes them five days to create one piece which they sell for only $8US. Please enjoy these unique picture of a very different lifestyle.
