While in Northern Thailand we were able to visit the Karen Tribe. They are a village living in a similar manner for hundreds of years. The women are famous for their beauty and that they place a bronze ring around their neck every year. They believe that long necks are a sign of beauty. Even the young girls start wearing the rings at age two. Many of them work by making handmade weaving and other sewing tasks. They are very wonderful people and it was great to interact with them. I hope that you are able to visit them if you travel to Thailand too.
