While seeing Angkor Wat we stayed in the town of Siem Reap. The town has a touristy area with restaurants, shops, bars and spas. But, it is also a very beautiful town with parks, museums, forests and gardens. What we like the most is getting out of the touristy area and going to the local market and some of the local villages. This gave us a better perspective on the lives of people living there. We also went to a monastery and visited with the monks. Kevin helped them with their homework! We had a great time in Cambodia.
